A Calumet City woman was banned from Orland Square Mall after she was arrested for stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Macy’s store, police said.
Kenisha Plummer, 34, of the 1900 block of Sibley Boulevard in Calumet City, was charged April 25 with felony retail theft after police said she stole more than $1,100 in merchandise from Macy’s.
Police said Plummer, who was banned from the mall after a previous arrest, gave police a fictitious name when she was first arrested, police said.
While in police lock-up, Plummer requested an ambulance, which took her to Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital for observation.
She was charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor criminal trespass and given a lifetime ban from the mall, police said.
