A new destination for eyewear has opened its doors in the southwest suburbs as Warby Parker debuts its latest location at Orland Park Crossing.

The store, located at 14215 LaGrange Road, Suite 116, held a soft opening on March 4 before celebrating its grand opening on March 7, bringing a blend of style, affordability and convenience to the local community.

Store leader Bryant Ross said the reception from residents has been enthusiastic from the start.

“We absolutely love the Orland Park community. The people have been so warm and pleasant,” Ross said.

Ross added that the new location fills a gap for area shoppers who previously had to travel outside the immediate area.

“People no longer have to travel to Oak Brook,” he said. “We are right in the heart of Orland Park, five minutes away from everything you could need or want.”

The store offers prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, along with comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings and glasses adjustments. Frames start at $95, and customers can receive personalized styling advice from in-store advisors in what company officials describe as a bright, modern setting. The location also accepts eye insurance.

Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Founded with a mission to inspire and impact the world with vision, purpose and style, Warby Parker was created to challenge the high cost of glasses and reimagine the eyewear industry.

The idea grew out of a personal experience among the company’s founders, who struggled with the high cost of replacing lost or broken glasses while they were students. That frustration led to a broader realization about limited competition in the eyewear market and the impact it had on consumers.

By designing frames in-house and selling directly to customers, the company developed a model aimed at offering high-quality, stylish eyewear at a more accessible price point while maintaining profitability.

The brand has also emphasized social responsibility through its “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program. For every pair of glasses or sunglasses sold, a pair is distributed to someone in need. To date, more than 20 million pairs have been provided worldwide through the initiative.

Warby Parker expanded its offerings in 2019 to include contact lenses, continuing its effort to make vision care more convenient and approachable.

With its arrival at Orland Park Crossing, the retailer brings its customer-focused approach closer to home, offering residents a new option for vision care that blends fashion, function and community impact.
