Maria Jesus Martinez, 96, died peacefully Monday, March 2, 2026, surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymundo Ramirez, and all of her siblings.
Survivors include children Pedro (Alicia) Ramirez and Alma (late Jose Luis) Herrera; grandchildren Veronica, Pedro, Raymundo, Juan Carlos, Jonathan and Alma Erirani; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Martinez was known for her independence, strength, intelligence and devotion to her family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service that evening.
Per her wishes, Ms. Martinez will be buried at Panteón Municipal de Huandacareo, Michoacán, Mexico.
