Andrzej Bednarz, age 84, passed away on February 2, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Zofia Bednarz (née Stoch); loving father of Zbigniew Bednarz, Adam (Beata) Bednarz, and Halina (Stan) Komperda; and dearest grandfather of Alicia Bednarz, Mark Bednarz, Lucian Komperda, Emilia Komperda, and Sienna Komperda. Andrzej was the cherished son of the late Helena (née Galica) and Franciszek Bednarz, and dear brother of the late Jan (Maria) Bednarz and the late Maria (Wladyslaw) Bafia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Daniel the Prophet Church, 5358 S. Nashville Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, following prayers and procession from the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
