Gale Moore Park will come alive with family fun as the Worth Park District hosts its 16th annual Fall Fest on Sunday, Oct. 5.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and will transform the historic, tree-filled park at 109th Street and Nordica Avenue into a hub of seasonal activities, drawing residents and visitors for one of the community’s most anticipated gatherings of the year. Organizers expect more than 700 people to attend.

Fall Fest will feature a wide variety of attractions for all ages, including hayrides, pony rides, a pumpkin patch, a penny-in-the-haystack game, kids and teen fun zones, a bags tournament, raffles, live music and an interactive DJ. A beer and wine garden will be available, along with Sunday football viewings and food options from some of the Midwest’s most popular trucks.

Food vendors scheduled to attend include Backdraft BBQ, Peppos Subs, JJ’s Healthy Kitchen, Nicky V’s Hot Dogs, Chi Town Taco, Beggars Pizza, Emerald Cup Coffee, Tropical Sno and Bobalicious Bubble Tea.

Entertainment will span multiple stages throughout the day. The teen stage will showcase Burn the Rain and Morrell & Partacz Live, while the main stage will highlight Cary Kanno & the Syndicate and Kell Ann & Ken Duo. Children’s performances and family-friendly music will also be part of the lineup.

This year’s fest coincides with the Worth Park District’s 60th anniversary, which has been celebrated throughout the year. Commemorative giveaways and activities will mark the milestone during the event.

All parking will be available at the Metra lots on 110th Street and Depot Avenue to help keep the neighborhood streets near Gale Moore Park clear.

With its mix of seasonal fun, food, music and community spirit, Fall Fest continues to serve as a hallmark of Worth’s autumn celebrations.
