Conference: Southwest Valley Red

Head coach: Adam Lewandowski

2024 record: 6-4 (lost 42-20 to Fremd in the first round of the Class 8A playoffs)

2025 outlook:

The Thunderbolts won’t have to wait long for one of their biggest games of the season, as they host District 230 rival and fellow returning playoff qualifier Sandburg in Week 1.

A good showing there could be an indicator of Andrew’s chances of returning to the postseason for the sixth time since 2017.

Jake Palucki, one of the state’s elite offensive linemen, leads the list of returning starters. The 6-6, 285-pounder is a three-star prospect rated 44th on the 247Sports composite rankings of Illinois seniors. He had double-digit offers from Division I schools and is committed to Toledo.

Also back up front are senior two-way lineman Judah Van Engen, a 6-2, 225-pounder, and senior offensive lineman Jack Piel (6-0, 225).

Returning on defense are senior defensive end/edge Troy Culbertson (6-2, 225), senior defensive end/outside linebacker Miloh Gutierrez (5-10, 200) and senior free safety Danny Mose (6-2, 185).

A couple of seniors to watch on offense are versatile Camden Maniatis (5-10, 180), who can line up at quarterback, slot receiver or running back; and receiver Jameson O’Reilley (6-2, 180).
