Monee Police Blotter: July 30 – August 4

On July 30, at 8:30 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Ryan Brucker, 33, from Rantoul. Brucker was charged with improper lighting, driving with a revoked license, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.

On August 1, at 10:03 a.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Maya Francisco Tafolla, 69, from Chicago. Tafolla was charged with speeding above posted limit, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, and no valid license expired more than a year. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.

On August 2, at 6:21 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Atavia Sajna, 20, from Lynwood. Sajna was charged with no valid registration, unlawful display of registration, and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.

On August 4, at 12:22 a.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Ruth Hernandez Varela, 24, from Chicago. Varela was charged with operating a vehicle with suspended registration, driving while her license was suspended, and was subsequently given a notice-to-appear.

On August 4, at 6:06 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Deja Thurston, 24, from Romeoville. Thurston was charged with speeding above posted limit and driving while her license is suspended. She was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
