Chicago Fire FC returns to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview on Saturday, August 9, when it hosts Los Angeles FC, Saturday, August 16, when it hosts St. Louis City SC and again on September 6 when it hosts the New England Revolution. All games begin at 7 p.m.
The games mark only the three times this year the Fire is scheduled to play at SeekGeek Stadium, 7000 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview. The Fire plays most of its home games at Soldier Field in Chicago.
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club was founded on October 8, 1997, which just happened to be the 126th anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. The team began play in 1998 as one of the league’s first expansion teams.
The Fire won the MLS Cup as well as the U.S. Open Cup in its first season in 1998.
