The Dog Days of Summer are officially upon us and nowhere will that be more apparent than Friday night, August 1, when the Chicago Stars women’s professional soccer team hosts Gotham City FC at 7 p.m. at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview.
Friday night’s game will feature “Bark in the Park” where fans can bring their canine companions to the game. The first 1,000 fans will receive a “Bark in the Park” Beanie patch along with an offer for a free Chicago Stars FC-branded collapsible pet water bottle. There will be a dog parade at halftime.
“Bark in the Park” is one of more than a dozen Match Theme Nights scheduled throughout the season. While the event encourages fans to bring their canine companions, there are some guidelines put in place to make sure the game is a pleasant experience for humans and dogs alike.
All those attending the game, including the furry ones, require a ticket. Tickets can be purchased online at https://bit.ly/StarsVsGotham. (This event is a fundraiser for local pet shelters).
