Benet 66, De La Salle 47: Charles Barnes had 19 points for the host Meteors (2-1) in the pool-play loss at the De La Salle-St. Ignatius Tournament. De La Salle will play for third place at home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Brother Rice 79, Zion-Benton 25: Jack Weigus’ 18 points led the two-time defending champion Crusaders (2-0) to a pool-play win at Riverside-Brookfield’s Bill VandeMerkt Thanksgiving Classic. Marcos Gonzales and Caden Workman each added 12 points for Rice, which plays Joliet West at 1:30 p.m. Friday at R-B.

Crete-Monee 54, Oak Lawn 40: Omar Saleh scored 13 points for the Spartans (2-1) in pool play at the Spartan-Ram Classic. Oak Lawn hosts Reavis in the third-place game at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Maine South 49, Lyons 45: Ian Polonowski (13 points, nine rebounds, four assists), Danny Janiszewski (13 points, two assists) and Robert Vespa (nine points, seven rebounds) led the  host Lions (1-2) in the final night of their own tournament.

Marist 97, Eisenhower 53: The RedHawks (3-0) won the Andrew pool of the Andrew/Lincoln-Way Central Tournament as Marquis Vance scored 18 points and Karson Thomas added 17. Also hitting double figures were Adoni Vassilakis with 14 points and Kendall Meyers with 10. Marist plays for the title at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Lincoln-Way Central.

Nazareth 49, Stagg 34: Danny Wrzesinski scored 15 points and Matthew Callahan added 11 for the Roadrunners (1-2) at Stagg’s John McBride Classic. Domas Narcevicius led Stagg (0-3) with 12 points and Dovydas Zuperka added 11.

Plainfield South 50, Argo 44: Darron Greer Jr. scored 19 for the Argonauts, who finished 2-1 at Stagg’s John McBride Classic.

Richards 76, Lombard College Prep 52: Travon Gourdine scored 40 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had six steals as the Bulldogs (1-2) won at the Downers Grove North Tournament. Elijah Johnson added 12 points and five rebounds.

Riverside-Brookfield 66, Hinsdale South 39: Cam Mercer scored 25 points, had seven steals and grabbed five rebounds as the host Bulldogs (2-0) won in the Bill VandeMerkt Thanksgiving Classic. Danny Loftus had 21 points for R-B, which plays Fenwick at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Sandburg 61, Reavis 42: Malachi Perkins scored 21 points and Will Johnson had a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Eagles (3-0) won the Reavis pool in the Spartan-Ram Classic. Sandburg plays Crete-Monee for the title at 6 p.m. Friday at Oak Lawn.

West Chicago 62, Evergreen Park 55: The Mustangs dropped to 1-1 overall and in the Lisle Thanksgiving Tournament despite 23 points from Keshaun Vaval and 11 from Lenear Bolden.

Neuqua Valley 48, Stagg 42: Shannon Earley had 18 points and eight rebounds for Stagg (2-2) at Hinsdale Central’s Brenda Whitesell Tournament. Abbey Hobart added 14 points and three assists.
