On October 18, Police responded to a property damage accident at West Street and Wilmington-Peotone Road. No injuries were reported, and an accident report was completed.
On October 23, a Peotone Officer investigated a counterfeit $20 bill used in a transaction at the McDonald’s at 701 Oriole Drive. The manager provided evidence, and further investigation is ongoing.
At the Police Department on October 23, a complainant reported identity theft related to fraudulent unemployment claims. An initial report was filed, and Peotone Investigations is handling the case.
On October 25, a resident, in the 1000 block of Bonnie Drive, reported harassment through text messages requesting money. The case has been referred to Peotone Investigations.
On October 27, an officer found an unoccupied vehicle in a ditch in the 500 block of Conrad. Unable to contact the driver, the officer had the vehicle towed.
On October 31, a man (El, Drew), with an active warrant from DuPage County, voluntarily turned himself in at 208 Main Street. He was processed, given a court date, and released.
