On July 22, officers cited Nelson Marquez-Martinez, 35, of Joliet, after officers conducted a traffic stop at Cedar and Smith Roads. Marquez-Martinez was issued citations for no valid driver’s license, speeding, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle
On July 23, officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 200 block of Morgan Court. Officers located Eve Petkus, 42, of Manhattan, who advised she had a physical altercation with her boyfriend and punched him in the face out of anger. Officers spoke with witnesses and the victim, who confirmed Eve’s statement. Officers then arrested Petkus, who was charged with domestic battery.
