FBI officials are appealing to the public for help in finding a man who attempted to rob a Southwest Side bank branch.
The bandit tried to rob the Chase Bank branch at 5687 S. Archer (just west of Laramie) at about 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10. The robber fled the bank without any money. FBI officials did not say why his attempt failed.
The man was described as about 5-foot-7 with a medium build, approximately age 30-40, medium complexion, wearing a North Face puffy jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, mask and dark pants.
Officials believe he is the man who successfully robbed the Citibank branch at 2801 W. Devon a day earlier.
