DUI
Orlando De La Rosa, 32, of Berwyn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at 2:29 a.m. March 8 in the 9200 block of South Harlem Avenue. Police said he failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit a breath sample. He was also cited for endangering the welfare of a child, improper lane usage and driving without insurance. He is due in court on April 25.
Suspended license
Christian B. Pickett, 25, of Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at 9:35 p.m. March 7 in the 5800 block of West 111th Street. Police said he was also cited for speeding 15-20 miles over the limit. He is due in court on March 29.
Aggravated speeding
Jose F. Contreras, 62, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated speeding following a traffic stop at 9:45 p.m. March 7 at Southwest Highway and Ridgeland Avenue. Police said he was driving 74 mph in a 40-mph zone. He is due in court on March 29,
PALOS HILLS
Criminal damage
Palos Hills police are investigating a criminal damage incident involving mailboxes in the 11000 block of 84th Avenue. A resident said two unknown men were caught on security camera breaking into several mailboxes in the complex.
Home burglary
A safe containing money and jewelry was reported stolen in a residential burglary in the 8600 block of West 98th Place on March 15. The homeowner reported returning home after a few hours and finding a screen door forced open and the safe missing.
Suspended license
Qoraish N. Yousef, 29, of Palos Hills, was charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop on March 17 in the 8200 block of West 103rd Street. Police said he was also cited for other traffic offenses.
Rovaughn J. Goodall, 24, of Blue Island, was charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop on March 18 in the 10300 block of Kathy Court. Police said he was also cited for other traffic offenses.

Claims man grabbed her butt
A 42-year-old Oak Lawn man was charged with battery after he was arrested at 60th and Pulaski, Chicago, at 12:20 p.m. Friday, March 8. Nicolas Aguado, of the 4200 block of West 91st Place, allegedly grabbed the buttocks of a 37-year-old woman in a nearby business, a Chicago Police Department spokesman said, declining to name the business.

Unlicensed driving
Janalene P. Franklin, 43, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license following a traffic stop at 5:23 p.m. March 10 in the 9100 block of South Nashville Avenue. Police said she was also cited for driving with suspended and expired registration, and a suspended license. She is due in court on May 6.
Musokhon Saydullaev, 24, of Carol Stream, was charged with driving without a valid license following a one-car traffic crash at the corner of 95th Street and Kostner Avenue at 8:13 p.m. May 11. Police said he was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision, causing damage to village property and failure to obey a traffic control device. He is due in court on April 19.
Fleeing and eluding
Antonio S. Ramirez, of Oak Lawn, was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude police following a traffic stop at 1:37 a.m. March 13 in the 5200 block of Kimball Place. Police said he had pulled over a few blocks away, but then drove away with a patrol car pursuing him. He was also cited for driving without headlights and no insurance. Ramirez is due in court on March 29.
Aggravated speeding
Marilyn M. Alvarado-Alvarez, 50, of Oak Lawn, was charged with aggravated speeding following a traffic stop at 7:54 a.m. March 13 in the 10400 block of South Cicero Avenue. Police said she was driving 60 mph in a 35-mph zone. She is due in court on April 15.
Drug possession
Reyna J. Lopez, 34, of Chicago, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, after police responded to a retail theft incident at 1:10 a.m. March 14 at Walgreens, 4740 W. 95th St. Police found her getting into a van in the White Castle parking lot across the street. Police said the store did not press charges after a gift bag containing merchandise worth $220 was recovered. But she was found in possession of crack cocaine and heroin, and also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Lopez was turned over to Lake County police on an outstanding warrant for obstructing identification and resisting a police officer. She was due in court on March 18.
Cannabis possession
Rami B. Orabi, 23, of Countryside, was charged with possession of cannabis and intent to deliver cannabis, both felonies, following a traffic stop at 5:12 p.m. March 14 in the 9100 block of South Central Avenue. Police were looking for the vehicle after being alerted by Justice police about an earlier incident. Police said 120.5 grams of cannabis packaged for sale in small bags was found in the car. Drug paraphernalia and $550 cash in $10 and $20 bills was also found. He was held for a bond hearing.
