Worth Township Youth Commission is now accepting donations of new toys and new clothing for the Township’s Christmas Care Program.
The program provides families who are struggling financially with a little extra help filling stockings for their children up to age 14. Toys and other gifts can be dropped off during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Worth Township Hall, 11601 S. Pulaski Road, Alsip, until December 7.
Suggested gifts for the younger kids include books, board games, puzzles, Barbies, superhero action figures, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, craft kits and dolls.
We are in desperate need of older children’s gifts. We are looking for items such as socks, board games, soaps & shampoos, colognes, perfumes, sweaters/hoodies, books, craft items, drawing items, costume jewelry, sport balls, watches, older children’s activity books, puzzles, fast food $5 gift cards, stocking stuffers or anything else you may think the older children would desire.
We also accept monetary donations and gift cards that will be used to buy children’s items in bulk for the program.
If you know of any family residing in Worth Township that could use some help providing gifts for their children, we will be taking applications until December 7.
If you have any questions, please contact the Youth Commission at 708-972-7835 or email at youthcommission@worthtownship.com.
