September 26, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a traffic stop on Monee-Manhattan Road resulted in the arrest of Wauconda Haynes, 26, of Gary, for driving while suspended and no insurance. She was cited and released.

September 26, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the Quality Inn for the removal of a disruptive subject. Upon arrival, officers discovered Andrianna Rivera, 32, of Champaign, was wanted for theft. Rivera was removed and processed.

September 27, at approximately 3:30 p.m., an MPD Officer located a 2016 Mercedes with a stolen license plate in the 25700 Violet Lane area. Further investigation showed the VIN numbers were not valid for that unit. A Secretary of State Investigator took custody of the vehicle to determine valid identification and status of the vehicle. Pending follow up.

September 27, at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance in the 25800 block of S. Ridgeland Avenue. Two truck drivers were involved in a heated argument over their current parking positions, with Unit A blocking Unit B from leaving the area. Driver B opened the conversation with some colorful language, resulting in Driver A responding accordingly. After officers calmed the situation, it was discovered Driver A couldn’t move because his rig wasn’t running. A back-up arrived shortly and everyone was on their way. No charges required.

September 29, at approximately 11:20 a.m., a traffic stop ended with the arrest of George Thomas, 45, of Park Forest, for driving while suspended and no insurance. He was processed and released.

September 30, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a traffic crash on Rt. 50 at Court Street. Witnesses stated the offending unit ran the red light, and then the driver appeared to throw his wallet in some nearby bushes. After everyone was treated for minor injuries, officers discovered the offending unit was actually a stolen vehicle from Matteson. The discarded wallet belonged to Jeremiah Green, 33, of Chicago Heights. Green was driving the stolen car and also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Cook County. Green was wanted for aggravated fleeing and eluding, domestic battery, and retail theft. He was transported to Will County Detention.

October 1, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to a theft call at the Advance Auto Parts store on Monee-Manhattan Road. Employees told officers a female subject entered the store and inquired about purchasing a four-way wrench. When she became dissatisfied with the price, they believed the transaction had concluded. She then stated, against their protests, that she was going to see if the wrench would fit her vehicle. She walked out to her white Hummer and drove off. Apparently, the wrench was for a different vehicle. Investigations following up.
