Banik; cherished father of Suzanne (John) Kremer, Paula (Bob) Behling and Maureen (Al) Garbauski; loving grandfather of Lindsey (Josh) Goad and Shannon Behling; great grandfather of Isla and Jack Holland. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Jack Glecier and was preceded in death by his other siblings and their spouses, Helen (Frank) Liptak, Joe (Betty) Banik, Stanley (Bernice) Banik, Frank (Lillian) Banik, Kate (Walter) Norvillas, Steve (Stella) Banik, Marie (Bill) Haelflinger, Josephine (Stanley) Wozniak, Adele (Al) Thompson and Mike (Loretta) Banik; dear uncle and great uncle of many.

Visitation was held August 2 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation was held at the funeral home August 2 until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Symphorosa Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Walter will be given Military Honors and laid to rest next to his wife at Resurrection Cemetery.

Martin Dominguez, age 59, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Maria at his side August 3.

Preceded in death by his parents Paz Mondragon and Jorge Dominguez. Survived by wife Maria Luisa Dominguez; children Joshua and Jocelyne Dominguez, Jennice and Edgar Chavez and granddaughters Anabella and Alexa Chavez; siblings Francisca, Hugo, Jorge and Gerardo Dominguez. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was the beloved husband of Irene Buetow; Loving father of Shirley (Ronald) Popper, Gary (Jean) Dommer, Julie (Timothy) Abbott, and the late Roger (Cyndy and Robert Bacigalupo) Dommer; cherished grandfather of Stephanie Popper, Sarah (James) Veale, Chena Popper , Gary Jr. (Jessica) Dommer, Megan (Brian) Grabinski, John (Leslie) Abbott, Emily, (fiancé Kyle Spradlein) Abbott, Jacob (Bailey) Dommer; proud great-grandfather of Brady, Bria, Bella, Sydney, Rueben, River, Luca, Franklin, Joanna, Vera, and Stanley; dear brother of Marianne (the late Raymond) Vogel, the late Wilbert (the late Lenora) Dommer, Florence (the late Emil) Rosenau, Alvera (the late Clarence) Gorress, Robert, (the late Donna) Dommer; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Rueben was a North Palos Fire Department trustee, he was on the school board for North Palos District 117, and he was a member of the Sacred Heart Holy Name Society.

Visitation was Sunday and funeral services were Monday from Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills, to Sacred Heart Church. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, 101st Street and Kean Avenue in Palos Hills.

Beloved husband of the late Erendida (nee Esparza); cherished father of Veronica (the late Brian) Srmek Guajardo and Karla Guajardo; loving son of the late Jesus and Isabel Guajardo; dear brother of Jesse (Nettie) Guajardo, Martin Guajardo, Aurora Guajardo, Patty Guajardo, and the late Severiano, Alberto, Juanita, Mario, Felix and Eugene “Coco” Guajardo; dear brother-in-law of Criselda (Alfonso) Vasquez, Ines (Sylvia) Esparza, Salvador Esparza, Lupe (Maria) Esparza, the late Jose, late Angelo and late Leonardo Esparza. Angel will be lovingly missed by his many godchildren, nieces and nephews.
