Clove Alliance's third annual Art Show at Kankakee County Museum wraps up the week of May 1, where one lifelong Mantenoan and artist, Elmira Smith Wilkey, earned a Judge's Choice ribbon in the adult category. Though 10 adult entries were received, it's the 72 student entries that demanded the most attention. With hopeful and haunting themes, these students submitted sketches, paintings, and word art-themed pieces that convey Clove Alliance's (CA) theme for this art show, "Brave, Bold, & Believed." CA's mission is to someday eliminate sexual violence; until which time, their work promotes hope for survivors. –Photo by Melanie Holmes.
