Fire Pit Bar & Grill will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants.

Fire Pit Bar and Grill hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants in mid-March.

America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on March 16. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owner Lisa Fredericks about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.

Fredericks took over the restaurant in 2014, undergoing a massive remodel and update of the space, which had been closed for several years. Formerly a German restaurant, the menu now includes all-American cuisine, such as burgers, hearty dinners, plus a bit of Cajun influence with jambalaya and frog legs. The restaurant also sports an outdoor patio for games and live music, and plenty of activities throughout the year, including bingo, video gaming, and scavenger hunts.

America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on March 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. Fire Pit’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website at https://americasbestrestaurants.com/rests/illinois/fire-pit-bar-and-grill.

Fire Pit Bar and Grill, 306 S. Harlem in Peotone, is open every day but Wednesday. For more information, visit www.firepitbar.com or call 708-792-7265.
