February 7, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Jonathan Hinton, 59, of Joliet, was cited for no valid registration in the 5700 block of W. Monee-Manhattan Road, after being stopped for no registration plates displayed on the vehicle. Hinton received an additional citation for operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and the vehicle was impounded. He was bonded and released.

February 8, at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers responded to a business in the 6600 block of W. Monee-Manhattan Road to investigate a theft. Upon arrival, the officers took Jalyn M. Green, 27, of Glenwood, into custody for allegedly stealing an Apple Watch Series 8, valued at $499. Green was processed, bonded, and released.

February 10, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Hunter T. Hayden, 21, of Palatine, was arrested in the 5900 block of W. Monee-Manhattan Road for driving with a suspended driver’s license after being stopped for having only one headlight. He was bonded and released.

February 10, at approximately 12:45 p.m, officers responded to the intersection of W. Monee-Manhattan Road and S. Hamilton for a fully involved semi-truck fire. Officers blocked off the area, and traffic was diverted until the fire was extinguished. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

February 10, at approximately 8 p.m., Teakala R. Irving, 42, of Chicago, was arrested in the 5700 block of W. Monee-Manhattan Road for an active warrant, after being stopped for no visible registration sticker on the rear plate. The warrant was issued by the Will County Sheriff’s Department for failure to appear on an obstructing justice offense, $5,000, 10 percent to apply, plus a $75 fee. Irving was processed, bonded, and released.

February 12, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the 5700 block of W. Monee-Manhattan Road for a property damage accident with lane blockage. The at-fault driver was issued a citation for failure to yield – turning left.
