Loren W. Vogel, 79, of Kankakee, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, while on a cruise. Born August 10, 1943, in Urbana, he was the son of William A. and Esther (Eberhart) Vogel.
Loren attended Kankakee Community College and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1965-1967. He retired from Aramark, where he worked for 34 years. Loren enjoyed traveling and was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville.
Surviving are one sister, Elaine (Alan) Carlson of Danville; two nieces, Tammy Sink of Danville, and Lisa Baker of Bismarck; and several nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9 until time of the 11 a.m. funeral service, officiated by Eric Kidwell, on Friday, February 10, at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee. Interment, with Military rights, will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
