Jim Granger, 62, of Manteno, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Born September 28, 1960, in Kankakee, he was the son of Richard and Antoinette (Agatone) Granger.
In his early years, Jim worked for Veld Farms and also as a welder in Florida and Illinois. He truly loved helping others. Jim enjoyed boating, was very comical, and loved to make others laugh. All will miss his beautiful smile.
Surviving are his mother, Antoinette Granger of Manteno; brother, David Granger of Manteno; sisters, Linda (Granger) McCue of Manteno and Teresa (Scott) Ellis of Danforth; several aunts and uncles; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Richard Granger, and sisters, Marybeth Granger and Kathleen (Granger) Garcia.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on January 28, at St. George Catholic Church, with interment following at St. George Cemetery.
