Gerald L. Noe, 84, of Bradley, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Arcadia Care of Clifton. Born January 17, 1939, in Kankakee, he was the son of Albert and Eva Marie (Houde) Noe. Gerald married Penelope Rehmer on August 1, 1959, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.
Gerald worked for 30 years at Kankakee Water Company (Aqua Illinois) as a draftsman. He enjoyed watching the Bradley Lions play football and liked watching John Wayne and Star Trek. Gerald also liked taking “short cuts.”
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Penelope Noe of Bradley; son, Michael (Stephanie) Noe of Aroma Park; daughters, Victoria (Malcom) Jones of Port Byron, Judith (Brian) Birr of Bourbonnais, and Sheryl (Keith) Trammell of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Sammy (Joey) Malia, Danny Deckard, Shane (Paula) Birr, Travis Birr, Mindy (Brandon) Yochum, Josh Akins, Jeremy (Kellie) Trammell, Jarrod (Kat) Trammell, Jace (Olivia) Trammell, and Alec Noe; great-grandchildren, Johnny Malia, Norma Jean Malia, Serena Birr, Anderson Birr, Aidyn Birr, Kylee Trammell, Joelle Trammell, and Axl Brown; and brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim (Nan) Rehmer of St. George and Pam Gal of Bourbonnais. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family inurnment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee.
