Sandra Sue “Sandi” (Tarbell) Toogood, 73, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Lakeland. Born July 28, 1949, in Watseka, she was the daughter of John and Dorothy (Brown) Boomgarden. Sandi married James Tarbell Sr. He preceded her in death. She married Warren Toogood, who also preceded her in death.
Sandi was a Grand Jury Coordinator for the States Attorney’s Office. She loved crafting, quilting, and loving on animals. Most of all, Sandi loved spending time with her friends and family. She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are one son, James (Lisa) Tarbell of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; three daughters, Julianna (Brad) Budyach of Lakeland, Sherry (Jeff) Marshall of Manteno, and Anna Soucie of Crescent City; seven grandchildren, Kevin Marshall, Jessica Rasmussen, Sarah Marshall, James “Jay” Tarbell III, Rachel Tarbell, Dayn Budyach, and Tessa Budyach; and one great-grandchild. In addition to her husbands, Sandi was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Arlene Patterson.
Funeral services were held on January 21, at Schreffler Funeral Homes, Kankakee, with interment following at Beaver Cemetery in Donovan.
