‘Blue Mass’ coming to St. Nick’s

Happy shopping everyone. ‘Tis the season.
I will be heading over the morning of Dec. 4 for 10:30 a.m. Mass, a “Blue Mass” at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, 3721 W. 62nd St. The Mass is in support of the men and women of the Chicago Police Department.

The secret is out on what is happening at Sts. Bruno and Richard School. Santa Claus is coming. There will be a breakfast with Santa on Dec. 18. Pictures can also be taken with Santa Claus along with shopping. I am not sure of the time or price yet, so far now pencil it in. I figure breakfast must be morning or early afternoon.
Happy Birthday to Audrey McInerney. She is the handler in agility for Elsa the St. Turibius Convent dog. Happy Birthday also goes to Dr. Berkshire, my favorite optometrist.
Twenty-third Ward Ald. Silvana Tabares popped into the Peck Elementary Local School Council meeting to hear what is new at Peck and to announce events going on in the ward
Seeing the photos of the LSC meeting on social media reminded me of the days I served on the council in the ‘90s. I meetings would be on Thursday night, and we had a great cast of characters volunteering their time. The awesome principal was Dave Domovic, and some members included Linda Young, Carol Pyzik and even Tony Peraica.
I visited the alderman’s office on 63rd Street to donate some coats. The coats I donated even had price tags left on them, so hopefully they will be put to good use.
I also signed the petition to try and stop the dispensary on Pulaski.
