Spread the love

A man was shot Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of Walmart by a man who believed his car was being broken into.

The victim was struck in the left ear and was taken to Loyola Hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Police said the shooter has a concealed carry permit. Police said he fired three shots from a Glock 26 pistol at the victim who was seated in his own vehicle in the parking lot at 9450 W. Joliet Road.

Police said the shooter believed the victim had attempted to burglarize his vehicle.

Police said the victim was shot, just before, or at the moment the victim began to drive his vehicle in the direction of the shooter.

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved felony charges of aggravated battery with a firearm.

Police said they believed the shooting was an isolated incident, and there was no threat to the community.

Am I reading this correctly? Scumbag breaks into car, attempts to run over victim of said break in and victim of break in shoots at criminal who broke into his car… who was trying to run him down? Sounds justified, unless you’re leaving something out.

Reading comprehension is key. “Police said he fired three shots from a Glock 26 pistol at the victim who was seated in his own vehicle in the parking lot at 9450 W. Joliet Road.”
