Robert K. Adair passed away peacefully at home November 30.

He was the beloved husband for 62 years to Charlene (nee Gruzalski); loving father of Scot (Virginia) Adair and Bryan Adair; dear grandfather of Scot Adair Jr.  and Robert Michael Adair; fond brother of Ronald (Carol) Adair and uncle to Donna, Ronald, Robert and Kenneth Adair.

Visitation was held December 5 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home December 6 until time of Prayers. Procession from the funeral home to Five Holy Martyrs Parish  St. Symphorosa Church for Mass. Robert will be entombed at Resurrection Cemetery Community Mausoleum.

Ronald J. Green, age 84, of Chicago, passed away peacefully at home November 23, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 30, 1939 in Chicago, the son of the late Joseph and the late Harriet (nee Richter) Zieleniewicz; he is survived by his treasured wife of 57 years, JoCarol (nee Bielawski) and his beloved children, Lynn (Francesco) Penati, Tracy (Jeff) Rudny and Jordan (Mary) Green; his cherished grandchildren, Abigail, Sydney, and Brett Rudny and Francesca Penati. Dear brother of Barbara (the late JJ) Zurek, brother-in-law to Pamela (the late Tom) Zima and Cathy (Ken) Miller; fond uncle to the late Ryan Zurek, Rich and Todd Styles and Nick Forman. Ron was a retired livery operator for nearly 40 years working for many local funeral homes.

Anne Kush, age 85, longtime resident of Summit, passed away at home November 24.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ben Dunski Jr. and former wife of the late Walter Kush; loving mother of Sylvana “Sam” Dunski, Barbara (John) Larson, Joyce Ann (Marty) Pizzolato, Joseph (Chris) Dunski and Ronald Dunski; dear grandmother and great grandmother of many; fond sister of Walter (Marge) Kuzavinas and the late Donna (late Bob Knack and late Bob Loszach) Loszach and dear aunt to their children. Anne will be missed by her friends and neighbors.

A memorial will be held on Saturday January 20, 2024 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem) from 12 noon to 4 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 3 p.m. Anne will be buried at a later date with her other family members at St. Casimir Cemetery.

Michael F. Lauer, age 59, passed away unexpectedly at home November 24.

He was the loving father of Michael Lauer and dear friend of Sharon; dear brother of Paul Lauer and Francis (Barbara) Lauer; fond uncle to Sean Lauer and Liberty and Kayla Lauer; beloved son of the late Francis and late Geraldine Lauer.

A Memorial Visitation in Celebration of Michael’s life was held December 1 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem) Service followed. Michael will be buried at Resurrection Cemetery beside his parents at a later date.

Loving husband of Eva (nee Heredia); cherished stepfather of Eva Marie and Renee; adored and loved grandpa of Brandon, Matthew, Kenneth, Jessica, Johnny, Emily and great grandpa of Athena; beloved son of the late Steve Swierczynski and the late Maria (nee Mateja); dearest brother of the late Gene and the late Gerald “Jerry”; dear uncle and friend of many; dedicated companion to fur babies Kobe, Kayto, the late Benny, late Buttons and the late Velvet. Joseph was retired from the Chicago Tribune where he was a longtime employee as a delivery driver. He was a member of the American Legion Clearing Post # 600.

SzymborskiROSALYN J. SZYMBORSKI

Rosalyn J. Szymborski, 102, of Kankakee, formerly of Worth and Chicago, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Asbury Assisted Living in Kankakee.

She was born on May 13, 1921, in Hartford, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Elsie (Dreasher) Burtt. She married Claude Szymborski on July 19, 1941 at St. Brides in Chicago. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2003.

Rosalyn worked for 17 years with Meals on Wheels in Worth. She was an election judge for seven years. She was a volunteer leader for Cub Scouts. She was the president of the PTA for Sullivan School. Rosalyn was a school bus driver for a short time and had also worked at the Post Office as a letter carrier for 13 years. She was a member of St. John Paul II – East Campus, formerly St. Teresa Catholic Church. She had also been a member of Our Lady of the Ridge in Chicago Ridge. Rosalyn enjoyed visiting friends and relatives, corresponding via letters, playing bingo with friends, reading, looking through photo albums, and listening to music concerts.

Rosalyn is survived by three sons, Charles Szymborski of Huntley, Paul (Adriana) Szymborski of Silver Lake, Ohio, and Thomas Szymborski of Frankfort; two daughters, Claudia Prisby of Frankfort and Georgene (Gerald) Hawkins of Watseka; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, John Szymborski; one daughter-in-law, Dodie Szymborski; and two sons-in-law, Paul Prisby and Donald McDonough.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023 at St. John Paul the II – East Campus, formerly St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.

Memorials may be made to Uplifted Care or St. John Paul II Catholic Church.
