Residents can help spread warmth and holiday cheer this season by donating new winter accessories to the Village of Worth’s annual Mitten Tree collection, according to Bonnie M. Price, village clerk/collector.
From Nov. 10 through Dec. 15, community members are invited to donate new mittens, gloves, scarves and hats for children and adults in need throughout Worth. Price said donations can be hung on the Christmas tree inside Worth Village Hall, where the display will highlight the community’s generosity during the holiday season.
The Mitten Tree gives residents a simple way to help others stay warm during the cold winter months by providing essential winter accessories to those who may need them most.
“Give the gift of warmth this season,” Price said in announcing the collection. She encouraged residents to help decorate the tree by donating new winter items for less fortunate children and adults in Worth.
Donations can be dropped off at Worth Village Hall, 7112 W. 111th St., Worth, from Nov. 10 through Dec. 15.
