Michael Prado was killed early Monday when the black Mazda he was driving struck the rear of a Durango stopped at a red light on South Harlem Avenue, Bridgeview police said.
Prado was driving north alone at about 1:40 a.m. when the crash happened in the 8800 block of South Harlem Avenue, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people in the Durango were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in stable condition, police said.
Police notified the SMART team and the medical examiner. Prado’s family came to the police station, where officers notified them of his death.
