More than 1,000 people came to the Bridgeview Park District’s Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 10, according to the park district.

The free afternoon event, which ran from 1 to 4 p.m. at Commissioners Park, 8100 S. Beloit Ave., featured pony rides, a petting zoo, hayrides and free pumpkins.

“Seeing our community come together, families enjoying time with one another, and so many smiling faces throughout the park is exactly what makes events like this so special,” the park district wrote on its Facebook page.

The park district thanked Mayor Steven Landek; park commissioners Mariam Ahmad, Justin Willis, Ken Pannaralla, Alan Kruse and James Cecott; state Reps. Lisa Davis, Michael Crawford and Abdelnasser Rashid; and state Sen. Mike Porfirio for their help with the event.
