Remigio Rosales

Remigio Rosales, Michoacán native who built his own man cave, dies.

Remigio Rosales, a husband, father of eight and great-grandfather remembered for his quick wit, his humming and the man cave he built himself, died Sept. 28, 2026.

He was born Dec. 29, 1947, in Michoacán, Mexico, where he was raised. He carried the values of hard work, perseverance and family throughout his life, and he faced challenges with determination while always finding a reason to laugh.

He could be strong-willed and a little grouchy at times, his family wrote, but underneath that tough exterior was a man who cared deeply and was always there when they needed him. His love was not always expressed in words; he showed it through guidance, protection, discipline and support.

He liked creating, fixing and finding his own way of doing things. His best-known project was the man cave he built outside his home.

His family will remember his humor, his humming, his stories and his way of making people smile. He took great pride in watching each generation of his family grow.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalina; his children, Humberto, Ignacio, Saul, Barnabe, Naborina, Blanca, Angel and Rolando; his grandchildren, Daniel, Victoria, Taylor, Jordan, Jessica, Jordan, Amber, Richie, Senaya, Noor, Jesse, Angelique, Evan, Aaron, Emily and Christian; and seven great-grandchildren.
