Mandy Gunther of Oak Lawn, who loved animals and time with friends, dies.
Mandy Allison Gunther of Oak Lawn, remembered by her family and friends as kind, interesting and loving, died of liver disease Oct. 5, 2026, in Oak Lawn.
She was born June 1, 1993, in Oak Lawn and lived her life there. She graduated from Shepard High School, where those who knew her remember her as approachable, thoughtful and easy to be around.
She loved being around animals and hanging out with friends. She did not seek attention, her family said; she made time for people and made them feel valued.
She shared a close bond with her mother and brothers, and her family remembers her love for them as steady and genuine.
She is survived by her mother, Sandra Gunther, and her brothers, Mitchell Gunther III and Steven Gunther. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Gunther Jr.
Services: Cremation rites have been accorded.
