Gary Scott Giesel, age 72, of Crestwood, IL, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026.
Born to Richard and Marian Giesel, Gary was a devoted husband, beloved brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and cherished friend.
He was truly one of a kind, a wonderful man with a heart of gold who touched the lives of so many. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering loyalty made him someone people could always count on. He had a beautiful soul and a generous spirit, always putting others before himself. His memory will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife, family, and friends, who will forever be grateful for the time they shared with him and for the blessing of having known such an extraordinary man.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Angie Pecoraro; his brother, Donald Giesel; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Giesel; Angie’s siblings and their spouses, Chris and Fina Lesperance, Johnny and Elizabeth Rivas, and Salvatore and Aprile Pecoraro; and his nieces and nephews, Isabella Lesperance, Ricky Rivas, Giavanna Pecoraro, Kyra Giesel, Ryan Giesel, Ryann Flynn, and Taylor Conway.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenn Giesel and Grace Berdych.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, in Gary’s memory.
Visitation and Celebration of Life, Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home and Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
