He was charged with driving without a license/never issued and driving without insurance.
Two men ticketed after traffic stop
Two men were ticketed after police stopped a black 2017 Jeep at 11:03 a.m. Oct. 7 at 87th Street and 88th Avenue.
Police had stopped the Jeep after a random check showed that its owner, who was not in the vehicle, had a suspended license.
The driver, Donald S. Dawson Jr., 25, was charged with providing false insurance information. He said he had coverage, but the policy had been canceled for nonpayment, police said.
His passenger, Deshawn L. Garner, 27, was charged with possession of adult-use cannabis in a motor vehicle outside an approved container.
Five tickets for pickup driver
Alex Torres, 32, received five tickets after police stopped him because the trailer he was towing with his black 2013 Ford pickup did not have a valid safety inspection sticker.
The stop happened at 11:53 a.m. Oct. 5 in the 7700 block of South Roberts Road.
Torres was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, violating driver’s license classification, not having a valid safety test and having inadequate trailer brakes.
