Suburban Cook County voters can now cast ballots at six locations for the Nov. 3 general election for governor, according to Cook County Clerk Monica Gordon. Early voting is scheduled to expand to 56 sites across suburban Cook County on Oct. 19.
Voters may use any early voting location, regardless of where they live in suburban Cook County, the clerk’s office said.
The six locations opening Oct. 7 will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are:
• Rolling Meadows Courthouse, 2121 Euclid Ave., Rolling Meadows
• Skokie Courthouse, 5600 Old Orchard Road, Skokie
• Bridgeview Courthouse, 10220 S. 76th Ave., Bridgeview
• Markham Courthouse, 16501 S. Kedzie Pkwy., Markham
• Maywood Courthouse (Whitcomb Building), Room 104, 1311 Maybrook Square, Maywood
• Cook County Clerk’s Downtown Office, 69 W. Washington St., Lower Level, Chicago
Every early voting site will also have a Smart Ballot Drop Box where voters can return completed mail ballots. The clerk’s office said the boxes let voters track their ballots and confirm their status.
“Early Voting gives suburban voters flexibility and convenience, allowing them to cast their ballot at a time and location that works best for their schedule,” Gordon said.
“Whether voters choose to vote early in person or return a Vote by Mail ballot through one of our secure Smart Ballot Drop Boxes, we are making it easier for voters to choose the option that works best for them. Our goal is to make voting convenient, accessible, and secure for every eligible voter.”
The clerk’s office has posted candidate and referendum information for the November election. At cookcountyclerk.com/VoterInfo, voters can view and print a personalized sample ballot, check their registration and find their Election Day polling place.
