Janina Hyla, 50, died Sept. 19, 2026.
She was the beloved daughter of Anna (née Zon) and the late Władysław Hyla; loving sister of Wojciech Hyla and his wife, Beata; and cherished aunt of Claudia and Julianna Hyla.
She was the dear niece of Helena (Mieczysław) Gazdziak, Józef (Anna) Zon, the late Jan (Maria) Zon, the late Aniela (the late Józef) Janas, Ludwika Mizgalska, Zofia (the late Stanisław) Gasienica-Samek, the late Władysława (the late Franciszek) Stachon, the late Katarzyna (the late Piotr) Waszczyszak, the late Anna (the late Stanisław) Kalafut, the late Maria (the late Stanisław) Zieba, the late Antonina (the late Czesław) Michniak, the late Jan (the late Bronisława) Hyla and the late Józef Hyla.
She was an unforgettable godmother to Julianna and Adrian. She is also survived by grieving cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation: Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, 5 to 9 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
Funeral: Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026. Prayers and procession begin at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission, 116 Hilton St., Willow Springs, Illinois, for 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
