Rose Marie Kimmey (née Basil), 97, of Palos Hills, passed away.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Kimmey and loving mother of Karen Kimmey and Rose Marie Kimmey.
She was the dearest sister of the late Evelyn (the late James) Haddad, Helen Basil, Betty (the late John) Bahling, Albert (the late Cathy) Basil, and Sally (the late Joe) Shababy. She was a dear aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Rose Marie had a zest for life and loved everyone she met. She loved to travel and visited more than 50 states and 50 countries. She was a devoted Disney fan and cherished her dog companion, Miss Molly.
Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, 3 to 8 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, Illinois.
Funeral: Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026. Prayers begin at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, with procession to Sacred Heart Church for 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery.
