Man steals liquor worth more than $400
A loss prevention employee at Jewel, 5545 S. Brainard Ave., reported that a man stole $417.89 worth of liquor around 6 a.m. on Sept. 25.
The man was wearing a Cubs jersey and black pants and drove away in a tan Ford Taurus.
Suspended license, failure to wear seat belt
An officer working an IDOT “Click It or Ticket” traffic safety detail noticed a driver not wearing his seat belt and issued two tickets at 2:44 p.m. on Sept. 18.
The man was driving in the 5500 block of South La Grange Road, the site of a large road repair project.
After Kristin G. Kohler, 45, of Homer Glen was pulled over, the officer learned he also had a suspended driver’s license.
Kohler was charged with driving while not wearing a seat belt and driving on a license suspended for a previous drunken driving offense.
Man arrested on warrant
Jordan K. Hopson, 27, of Richton Park, was arrested at 1:41 a.m. on Sept. 25 after Hodgkins Police had contacted him during a service call in their jurisdiction.
Hodgkins police soon learned Hopson had an outstanding warrant in Countryside and alerted Countryside police, who arrested him and transported him to Cook County Jail.
