Comcast celebrated the opening of its new Xfinity Store in Oak Lawn with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 24 attended by local community and business leaders.
Oak Lawn Mayor Terry Vorderer and Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce President Nicole Wetzell were among those on hand for the ceremony at the new store, located at 10401 S. Cicero Ave.
The grand opening follows Comcast’s announcement earlier this year that it would open new Xfinity locations in Oak Lawn and Calumet City.
The Oak Lawn store gives residents a new location to explore Xfinity’s residential products and services, including internet, entertainment and other technology options. The store also offers businesses an opportunity to meet with a Comcast Business representative to discuss technology needs.
Designed as an interactive retail space, the store allows customers to see and experience Xfinity products in person and speak with representatives about available services.
The new location joins several nearby Xfinity stores, including locations in Burbank, Evergreen Park and Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood.
The Oak Lawn Xfinity Store is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
