Benjamin Belmares, an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Jessica Aguilar and loving stepfather to Emiliano (Jill) Valencia. He was a loving father to Marianna Belmares and dear grandfather of Matteo Valencia.
He was the dearest brother of Helen (Robert) Salas, Mary Lou (the late Joseph) Tinoco Belmares, Alexander (Nancy) Belmares, Linda Cepeda Belmares, Gloria Belmares, the late Sam Belmares, the late Paul (Joyce) Belmares, and the late Daniel Belmares. He was a fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and a loving godfather to his many godchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Avenue (55th Street just west of Harlem).
Service in Celebration of Benjamin’s Life: 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
