Join us at the Kankakee Public Library on September 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., for an exclusive interview with author Gail Lukasik, along with a reading and signing of her book What They Never Told Us, a collection of stories of family secrets and hidden identities revealed.
Gail Lukasik is a freelance writer, editor, college lecturer, and the author of the bestselling book White Like Her: My Family’s Story of Race and Racial Passing, which the Washington Post named “One of the Most Inspiring Stories of 2017.”
