Pearl C. “Nicki” Cardinale, 80, peacefully passed away on September 11, 2026, surrounded by family.
Pearl was a loving and devoted mother to Mario C. (Marla) Aguinaga Sr. and Dawn (Ron) Ingram. She was grandmother to Erica (Kyle) Adams, Scott Ingram, Nicholas (Allana) Aguinaga, Christopher (Alexa) Ingram, Monica (Niko) Garcia, Kaitlin (Tyler) Ash, and Mario C. Aguinaga Jr.
She was great-grandmother to Peyton, Jordyn, Lennox, Crew, Lincoln, Madden, Killian, Nash, Samuel, Harper, Legend, Sage, Logan, Hazel, Lettie, and Titan.
Pearl, known as “Bunnie” to those close to her, cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, taking immense pride and joy in their accomplishments and happiness. She was also an avid collector of bunnies.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Salvatore D. Cardinale, and her mother, Lucille Simmons (Cybulski).
Pearl will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know her. Her legacy of love for her family will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
Visitation: Wednesday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, Illinois 60465.
Funeral: Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home.
Interment: St. Mary Cemetery.
