Halloween is more than seven weeks away, but Spirit Halloween stores have already begun celebrating the season of the witch by opening stores across the south suburbs.
Spirit Halloween stores carry seasonally merchandise from costumes to webbing to animatronic figures. Basically, everything that promises to make you scream.
Hours can vary from store to store, but most are open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Sunday hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Stores are already open in a former Carsons at 1600 Illinois Route 50 in Bourbonnais, next to Alsip Nursery in Frankfort at 20601 S. LaGrange Road, at a former Party City in Homewood at 17810 S. Halsted St., a former Beverly Furniture store at 2315 W. 95th St. In Chicago, inside the former Rue 21 at Chicago Ridge Mall, Ridgeland Avenue and 95th Street, at a former JoAnn store in Crestwood at 4917 Cal Sag Road, and in another former Carsons at Louis Joliet Mall, 3340 Mall Loop Drive in Joliet.
Two additional stores will be opening this month inside the former Rockler Woodworking store at 15758 S. LaGrange Road in Orland Park and in the former American Freight store in Tinley Park at 16040 S. Harlem Ave.
