Driving with one headlight results in four tickets
A 24-year-old man received four tickets after he was seen driving with one headlight at 4:27 a.m. Aug. 6 in the 8600 block of Archer Avenue.
He was charged with improper lighting, driving without insurance, driving on a suspended license and driving on an expired registration.
Woman charged with drunken driving
A 62-year-old woman was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after running a red light at Archer Avenue and Willow Springs Road.
An officer pulled over her silver 2022 Ford on Archer Avenue at Willow Glen Drive at 8:47 p.m. Aug. 6.
The officer detected a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. She told the officer she had only one drink at a work party but failed field sobriety tests.
Improper turn leads to four tickets
A 19-year-old man who drove up onto the parkway at Glenwood Avenue and Archer Avenue received four tickets.
An officer saw him make the turn in his 2006 Toyota at 1:37 p.m. Aug. 8.
The driver was cited for making an improper turn at an intersection, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and driving on an expired registration.
License plate stolen
The front license plate on a white 2020 Ford F-150XLT was stolen Aug. 8 or 9 in the 8200 block of Scenic Drive. The owner, a 71-year-old man, discovered it missing at 12:56 p.m. Aug. 9.
Domestic battery charge
A 49-year-old woman in the 200 block of Mound Street was charged with domestic battery at 8:24 p.m. Aug. 10.
She she allegedly slapped her 49-year-old husband in the face during an argument. A daughter told police she heard a loud argument, but not the slap.
