Dirt bike driver eludes police
An officer on patrol in the 9000 block of Archer Avenue saw a man on a white dirt bike without a license plate traveling north at 8:19 p.m. July 30.
The rider wore a black jacket and black helmet.
The officer activated his lights and siren to make a traffic stop, but the dirt bike driver did not pull over. Instead, he drove through a red light at Willow Springs Road and continued north at the 35-mph speed limit.
After running another red light at Nolton Avenue, he continued driving north on Archer, doing wheelies as he fled. The officer ended the pursuit at that point.
Minibike driver charged
A 25-year-old man was charged with not having a valid M class license and improper display of registration after police responded to a disturbance in a parking lot in the 8200 block of Archer Avenue at 10:32 p.m. July 31.
The man had parked his minibike too close to a truck owned by a 64-year-old man, triggering its alarm. The two got into a verbal argument.
Driving on a suspended license
A 28-year-old man driving a 2012 Audi received four tickets after police pulled him over in the 8600 block of Archer Avenue for having one headlight at 4:27 a.m. Aug. 1.
He was charged with improper lighting, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, and driving on an expired registration.
