2026 outlook:
The Mustangs had four losses last season against state champions: two against Brother Rice (including the Class 7A final) and one each to 8A winner Mount Carmel and 5A champ St. Francis.
Goals this year include winning the rugged Catholic League Green and making another deep postseason run.
A big offseason addition was Romeoville transfer Ohimai Ozolua, a 6-5, 255-pound defensive end committed to Michigan State.
Another Division I recruit is senior running back Brandon Johnson (5-10, 203), who is committed to Lindenwood.
Other returning starters on offense include senior linemen Mitch Street (6-1, 240) and Greg Zaber (6-0, 221), senior receiver Vinny Stubitsch (5-9, 175), senior tight end Brody Wantroba (6-1. 186) and senior lineman/fullback Bobby Rusch (5-11, 232).
Regulars back on defense are senior athletes Kyle Keyser (5-11, 188) and John Fennell (6-1, 182) along with linebacker Jack Schapendonk (6-1, 215).
Some others to watch include senior defensive back/receiver Timmy Swanson (6-0, 182), senior two-way lineman Seamus Blake (6-1, 260), senior athlete Donivan Campbell (5-9, 160) and junior receiver/defensive back TJ Burgos (5-11,155).
