Conference: Public League White West
Head coach: Aaron Boelter
2025 record: 4-5
The Greyhounds move to a new conference after an odd season that included two weeks off in the middle of the year and three opponents forfeiting games.
“Didn’t hit (our) stride till week seven,” coach Aaron Boelter said. “Last game of the season the team looked like what I envisioned the entire season to be.”
Thirteen seniors graduated from that team, but there’s a nice mix of experience and young talent this fall.
Returning starters are senior two-way lineman Isaac Bryant, senior tight end/linebacker Juan Pardo and junior running back/defensive back Jaquan Puckett.
Other veterans include junior quarterback Ryan Valladares, sophomore two-way lineman Xavier Crespo, junior two-way lineman Geovany Ponce, junior receiver/linebacker John Nunez and senior running back/linebacker Damian Castaneda.
Junior running back/defensive back Prince Johnson is a newcomer to watch.
“We’re aiming for the top of the conference (and) refuse to settle for less,” Boelter said.
A league title would also clinch the Greyhounds’ first IHSA playoff berth since 2023.
