Conference: Public League Blue West
Head coach: Brendan Krupp
2025 record: 1-7
2026 outlook:
The Owls return arguably the best player in the conference, dynamic senior receiver/defensive back/returner Kenneth Wright.
They have a new coach in Brendan Krupp, an assistant since 2023 who took over when Michael Norwood stepped down.
A pair of juniors to watch are center/defensive lineman Mario Jaramillo and quarterback/linebacker Andrew Ayala.
Gage Park is one of the Public League’s smaller football-playing schools with an enrollment of 296, but had around 20 returning players heading into preseason practice. With 16 first-year players last season, Krupp hopes the year of experience will pay off.
With Golder not fielding a varsity team this season, the Blue West is down to five schools: Gage Park, Kelly, DRW Trading, Little Village and Rowe-Clark.
