The rebuild continues in Bronzeville, where the Meteors are looking for their first win since 2024.
The varsity team was paused because of low numbers that season before returning to play a full schedule last fall.
Nine starters return, including three on the offensive line: senior Elijah Sirleaf (5-7, 225) and juniors Jayden Ross-Pendleton (6-1, 265) and Emery Jamison (6-1, 230).
Other returning regulars are junior linebackers Dontae Patterson (5-8, 185) and Paris Morris (6-1, 175), senior receivers Carlton Marshall (5-10, 160) and Chaz McKinney (6-0, 190), junior receiver Ziyarre Bigham (6-2, 185) and junior defensive back Donovan Moore (5-7, 145).
