No brake lights lead to arrest
Juan Suarez Gutierrez, 51, was pulled over at 9:44 a.m. Aug. 7 in the 7800 block of West 79th Street while towing a tow truck. [VERIFY — “towing a tow truck” needs clarification: was he towing another vehicle, or is this a typo?]
He was charged with no rear lighting, driving without a Commercial Driver’s License, improper towing, and no third tow truck plates.
Driving on flat tire leads to tickets
An officer on patrol noticed a flat tire on a 2003 Toyota SUV being driven east on 79th Street at 11:50 p.m. Aug. 7 and pulled the driver over in the 8400 block.
Mavos Gonzalez Parra, 35, was charged with driving on unsafe tires, improper display of registration, and driving without a license that was never issued.
Cell phone use nets three tickets
An officer pulled over London T. Booker, 34, at 84th Avenue and 79th Street at 1:20 p.m. Aug. 12 for talking on a cell phone while driving his gray 2013 GMC Terrain.
He was charged with using an electronic communication device while driving, driving on an expired registration, and driving on a suspended license.
No registration leads to arrest
Verneil E. Coppage, 47, was pulled over at 4:11 p.m. Aug. 12 at 81st Street and Deer Path for improper display of registration — a temporary registration hanging from a rear window on the driver’s side of his silver 2013 Chevy sedan.
He was charged with improper display of registration, driving without a license, and driving without insurance.
No license or insurance
Luis E. Hernandez Villegas, 24, was pulled over at 2 a.m. Aug. 13 in the 8700 block of 83rd Street for a suspended registration on his silver 2003 Toyota sedan.
He was charged with driving on a registration suspended for non-insurance, driving without insurance, and driving without a license.
